Padmashree Nepal Mahato is respected chau artist in the folk culture of the world. He was an extraordinary chau artist in the three stream of chau dance namely Purulian saraikala and Mayurbhanj. Chau samrat Padmashree Gambhir Singh Munda was the first person who performed this Purulian chau out of India covering a few countries like Asian American European excetra. Ashutosh Bhattacharya late professor of Calcutta University in his guidance in this reputed Indian folk dance was presented first. Padmashree Napel Mahato belongs to one of those artist who modified this chau society in different times with presentation. He was born in a remote village ( Adawana) on the North Western side of barabazar block under Purulia district West Bengal. His tendency towards chau dance was flourishing since childhood at the bank of river Kumari. He was the fifth child of Mr Nagendra Nath Mahato and Tusto Devi. He born on 7th June in 1958 at Adawana . After completing his primary education at village school took admission at kantadih high school and completed his intermediate education. Under a renowned chau artist Mr Anil Mahato's supervision he began to take part in the dance of chau. Love care and fascination thus are going to begin in different fields of manbhumi culture
